Time flies when you don't know what day it is.
It is a conundrum I have been dealing with since October of last year. Still trying to get my bearings, but I think it's getting better.
I am on chapter 7 of the new book, for those interested.
Almost feel like a creature of the night due to how little I have actually seen the sun.
I've even been asked a few times, by patients, if I have come to take them to the other side. It truly is a surreal experience for someone to think you are death or an angel come to take their soul in the dark of night. The look they give you, in the dim light of their room, is something you will never forget. I know I won't.
Hug a loved one, and I'll talk to ya later.

Starting a New Job, and Writing...
Quick update for those who visit here,
I have officially started a new job, in the profession I have worked the last three years of college to become a part of. Been working 12 hour night shifts at a hospital doing respiratory care.
So to all the other RT's out there... hey.
I am still writing whenever I get a chance. In fact I am currently wrapping up the third chapter of "The Eldritch Life of Leopold Torpid". And I can say, with all honesty, that this book is going to be a very big departure from my previous books. This one is turning out quite dark and twisted, and dare I say funny as well. There is a very dark and dry sense of humor running through the story, so those of you worried about it turning into a comedy I assure you it is not. It's more along the lines of laughing at something, and then feeling bad about laughing at it later, because you probably shouldn't have laughed at it in the first place, but your a little weird like that, and it's okay. You're just thankful nobody can read your mind, due to all the weird things you think about anyway.
It's kinda like that.
In all seriousness though, I am really enjoying writing this one. It's different and weird, and an honest to god horror story. So I am very excited.
Anyway, just wanted to catch you up real quick, and I think I have so...
I hope you have a great day.

Done... Finally...
As it says, the third book "A Walk Beyond The Breach" is actually done. It only took a little over 2 years due to being in college, but it is. Thank the gods. My sanity may be a little worse for wear, but what can you do.
Links on where to get a copy of the E-Book are on the books main page Here. Paperback is coming as soon as I approve the proof copy (which is on its way to me right now).
And thank you for waiting. I really do mean that.
Coming in at 460 pages (in paperback form) it means the book is a little over a hundred pages longer than either of the previous books. Make of that what you will, but to me it simply means more story for you to enjoy.
So grab your copy soon and let me know what you think. I'm truly excited to hear from you.

Holy Crap...
After 37 chapters, I am actually writing the epilogue now to my third book, "A Walk Beyond The Breach".
Sweet mother of god, this book has been grueling. Mainly due to the fact that I have been in college the entire time working towards my Respiratory Therapy degree, which I just received a few weeks ago (thank you very much) after 21 straight months.
I still need to go back over everything I've written now, but my god it feels good to have made it this far in both endeavors.
So this means that the third book will be coming very soon. Very soon indeed. It also means that I still have 2 national board exams to get through before I can become a Registered Respiratory Therapist (remember kids, always have a backup plan regardless of how good you or others think you are, this is the number one rule of writing).
It also means that I will be starting on "The Eldritch Life of Leopold Torpid". A one off book that is not "really" related to the A Walk Beyond series, but one I can't wait to sink my teeth into. I've got a huge file already of bizarre situations and moments revolving around the main character that I shake my head at every time I read through it. Like I said, I can't wait.
Anyway, I guess I shall let you get back to doing whatever it was you were doing before you started reading this post, and I will get back to the epilogue.
I hope you have a truly wonderful day.

Chapter 28, And The Rollercoaster That It Is...
If it wasn't already apparent I am on chapter 28, and by the gods has it been... grueling.
Well, at least for me anyway.
Between college, family, and life in general it has been quite the ordeal to get any writing done. Which also leads to the lack of updates here, and for that I apologize profusely.
As it sits, the story has given me a few more grey hairs, caused my eldest daughter to bruise my shoulder with her fist, and pushed the limits of my spell-check into area's it has been a little afraid to go.
No matter, I will continue to write furiously while I still have some time off, and then continue the slow crawl once my courses start back up. It is unfortunately all I can do for the time being.
So until I have more news,
Catch ya.

Chapter 20
Starting into Chapter 20 entitled "In Motion".
It's kind of a milestone, personally speaking. It has always felt like when I reach this chapter I know I will be able to finish the book, no matter what. I breath a sigh of relief in a way. Because, 2/3rd's (roughly) of the book is done, and there is no way I can turn back now. I would hate myself if I didn't finish it.
So, slow and steady I trudge on.
